When it comes to spring entertaining and family dinners, setting a beautiful and welcoming table is always on the menu. Whether your table is set with elegant china or is more relaxed with casual, everyday dinnerware, the focal point and starting point is the centerpiece.

I thought I would share five easy and beautiful table centerpieces to give you some ideas for setting your own dazzling table this season.

1. Simple, Fresh Clippings

One of my favorite easy centerpieces is to simply look to nature for inspiration. Just outside your door there is an abundance of inspiration to be found, from fresh greens to blooming branches and trees. One of my favorites? Fresh camellia clippings arranged in a wooden box or pitcher.

2. Blooming Bottles

A centerpiece doesn’t have to complicated. Something as easy as several mason jars and bottles marching down the center of the table is welcoming in an informal, yet elegant sort of way.

3. Shades of White

To keep it simple and let your place settings shine, stay with something quietly elegant. Whites always say soft elegance to me and for this table, white ranunculus in a white pitcher are a perfect compliment to the green boxwood placemats and white dishes.

4. Live Large

Large blooms, such as peonies and roses, are some of my favorites to use; they have a gorgeous amount of colorful impact with just a few stems. You can stay with one bouquet for a smaller table or dot several bouquets down the table for a gorgeous view.

Tip: Leave some of the leaves on the upper stem area to really fill in the bouquet and add that pretty greenery to compliment the flowers.

5. Go Bold and Colorful

When you are looking for something that wows your guests with color, a patterned vase and flowers in several shades does the trick. For this bold and beautiful centerpiece, I brought a blue and white chinoiserie planter in from outside and filled it with ranunculus in several colors and shades. It instantly brought big impact to the dining room table.

Whether you choose greenery or blooms, or a quiet or colorful palette when planning your own spring table settings, simply look for inspiration right in your own home and garden for your centerpiece ideas. What are your favorite ways to dress up a spring table?
